  • Trend forecasting-Students will use the city of Florence as a mood board and learn key methodologies of researching future insights and searching outside of the box. Observing how different zones of Florence have different styles. Hunt, identify and gather during the  "style tour" that will be in some of the best shops in Florence, like "Hello, Wonderful" who focuses its production on sustainability and handmade products. "luisaviaRoma" one of the most important concept-stores in Italy. You will see the latest trends and how they influence collections. 

  • Vintage personal Shopping experience

  • Personal Image Styling & Lifestyle Photography Session- In this hyper connected time, it is important that your image reflects your brand statement and your personal style. Your online image should be a mirror of your expertise and create a link of trust with your potential clients. Go around Florence and  take home 5 personal portrait photos with a lifestyle photographer.

  • Business Italian Language classes (targeting the language you need specifically for craftmanship and fashion sectors)

  • Information Session: Fashion Programs, Process for internships, insider information on Prices and applications at exclusive craft schools in Florence and Milan

  • Wine tasting & Tour. 2 Aperitivi - in Italy, it is quite popular to meet your friends before dinner for an “aperitivo”, which can be as simple as a cocktail, beer or a glass of wine generally served with finger food.

 

TRASHION WORKSHOP: Fashion4Futures exclusive course: students will be challenged to think about how they can craft a handbag design concept and collection that is both sustainable and circular. You will learn Basic handbag shapes and constructions while developing your own design aesthetic. Design and build out a merchandised handbag line to go to the marketplace, pattern making and construction skills. At the end of the course, students will present their design concepts & finished handbag for critique from sustainable industry designers!

MILAN ITINERARY

  • Duomo di Milano (Milan Cathedral) climb to the Cathedral’s terraced rooftop

  • “Quadrilatero della moda”, meaning “fashion quadrilateral”, where the most luxurious brands and boutiques walking tour

  • Workshop: the process of creating an Italian piece of fashion: starting from the sketches, through the choice of the suitable fabric and the modeling stage, to the proper sewing of the piece.
